| Some years ago the Club was fortunate to acquire the use of the Forest CC headquarters from amongst the group that were built by Clubs in the 32nd Association. The Bungalow is now owned by a group of trustees from both the Forest and Shaftesbury clubs and the Shaftesbury have the use of the building in exchange for maintaining it. | ||

In the past few years considerable work has been carried out - with the roof replaced, shower rooms completely refurbished and double glazing fitted throughout and, at the beginning of 2003 the plumbing was completely replaced and the kitchen was refurbished with beautiful new work-units. New electrical wiring has been installed throughout. The guttering has also been replaced.
The premises provide accommodation of 8 beds with separate rooms for men and women, a large day room, extremely well fitted kitchen, toilets and showers. There is plenty of parking space at the Bungalow.
The Bungalow is used as Headquarters for the many events which the Club promotes in the area and is ideally situated to provide accommodation in connection with races on the E.1 and adjacent courses.
There is no charge to 1st Claim Shaftesbury Members wishing to spend a few days there; friends usually give a donation towards the Bungalow maintenance (normally £5.00 a night).
